I did not know where to start when it came to organising my wedding mehndi, but Karuna came highly recommended from a family friend. I initially had concerns that mehndi would look out of place with my Civil ceremony wedding dress - but I could not have been more wrong, the contract was striking! After taking a look at Karuna's work on her Instagram/Facebook and website I was excited to have a design consultation. During the consultation Karuna made me feel at ease, showing me lots of examples from her portfolio to get an understanding of my preferences. Using this information Karuna was able to create a beautiful design on the spot. Karuna is an incredible henna artist and worked with such care when applying my wedding mehndi. It was reassuring that the henna was handmade, and natural with no nasty smell! I was in awe of the final product. Karuna provided detailed after care instructions to help ensure a dark stain. The stain darkened beautifully. Before applying my mehndi, Karuna also did my wedding nails. They stayed in perfect condition (along with my henna) for over two weeks - throughout our honeymoon. I received endless compliments from my friends, family and wedding suppliers about how amazingly detailed my mehndi was. My wedding mehndi was one of my favourite parts of my wedding weekend. Karuna did my wedding mehndi and our wedding favours, and hiring Karuna was one of the best decisions we made in regards to the wedding. She is so unbelievably talented - my hands were the most photographed thing by all the guests and everyone commented on how amazing the mehndi was. The process starts with a consultation where you discuss your design. She wants to incorporate as much of your (and your partner's) personality in the design. After, she sends you the design for you to review. If there are any elements that she hasn't done before, she spends a lot of time practicing them. She has such attention to detail and is very careful with the design and gives you detailed instructions on taking care of your mehndi. The colour was so dark and the design looking amazing. The wedding favours too were absolutely beautiful. We had tealight holders, some in yellow and some in gold. Many of the guests have told me how much they enjoy using them at home! It's a beautiful favour where you can share with the guests a part of the wedding, and they will enjoy using them!

I had my nails and bridal henna done by Karuna, being a henna artist myself I wanted my henna to be perfect! And I'm so happy I had Karuna do my bridal henna. From consultation to the finished design on my arms it was exactly what I wanted and it looked ever so stunning and beautiful. The neatness and intricacy was second to none. Karuna took her time to make sure the design was exactly like the tailored design she had done for me and made sure I was happy with it along the way.
